I’ve been running a blog on Korean platform. It’s been about 4 years since I started to make my Korean blog and I still like writing on it. However, at some point, I started to feel like I wanted to try beyond the Korean blog.
I started to collect what I like to use. I love learning foreign language including English, and writing about my experiences and thoughts. And most of all, I’ve wanted to share them with people who want to move beyond the familiar and broaden their own world. Drawing on all of these, I decided to start another blog in English, even though it wasn’t a language I felt confortable using!
So I’ve been making my own blog learning about domain, WordPress, layout design, and some difficult things for me. I hesitated for days before finally purching the domain. Since WordPress and layout design were both new to me, I often struggled to figure things out.
Still, I enjoyed it. There is always something exciting about learning new things and watching an idea gradually take shape.
At the same time, I couldn’t help feeling a little nervous, since English isn’t my first language. But I don’t want to wait for my English to become fluent. It may not be my first language, but why not? Although I wasn’t fully ready, I decided to figure things out as I went.
From now on, I want to leave small notes from the perspective of a Korean who is trying to broaden her world. I hope this blog becomes a place where I can expand my own world, and perhaps a small but meaningful hint for someone who feels the same way!
